Front Axle

Does any one know what size allen key I need to use to remove the front (solid) axle from an early monster ??

It looks about 14mm, but I can't be sure and I don't really want to buy a 14mm, only to find it isn't... more time in the garage coming up I fear

Just measure it with a ruler, you'll be able to judge it to less than 1mm easily.
I bought sump plug tool from the local carr accessory shop, to do the rear spindle on my Sie. Cost about 3 quid, it's sort of 3 allen keys in one and you just hold it with a ring spanner or philips screwdriver.

14 mm on mine,

i got an allen key thing , you can stamp on it to loosen it (with wheel on the floor)
