Logging out..

Could anyone please explain why i am being automatically logged-out?
For example, i've obviously had to log-in to post this thread, although by the time i submit it, i will probably have to log-in again to do so.
Why can i not log-out when i want to, like on several other sites/forums?

May be really obvious but have you ticked the "remember me" box?

login and 'remember me' uses a cookie, so if your browser is set not to support cookies ar you're running some sort of privacy software/id scrubber it won't work as expected.

Cheers to you both, obvious i suppose, although i do tend to use the "clear private data" option in the browser fairly often, so i expect that doesn't help, innit?
