I've never been on this road personally, is it really as bad as they are making out? I know sometimes the statistics don't tell the whole story.

Yes, a few of us went up there on a mini-weekander last year. It's not surprising, loads of sportsbike heroes running wide out of corners and hitting oncoming traffic.
