Monster 583 rev counter advice please

We have rebuilt a Monster 583 engine to go into TP's bike. His old engine was the SS one with the drive for the rev counter built into the heads, but the Monster engine does not have this.
I'm looking for advice on what tacho to fit. I have heard the DP one works off the coils, but can't find one for sale, so suggestions please.

I think Parkies did it for her... we couldn't get hold of the connector that weekend, although some bloke did try to sell me a complete 916 loom.
