Have been thinking about something to run on the forum and using an idea from another owners forum how about we produce a UKMOC calendar?
What’s needed are photo’s of anything Monster related. Each month for the next six months two pics a month will be voted on by the forum members to produce twelve pictures that will make up the final calendar for 2009. The first vote will begin at the end of July so get posting your pics now.
In order that we have no copyright problems all pictures must be of your own taking. In order that the final quality of the calendar is good the pictures submitted must be available in a fairly high resolution. The pic posted should be reduced to low res for the forum and I will ask the monthly winners to email me the better quality pic for the final product.
The first two pics will be for the months January and July so ideally pics for these should represent the time of year. Not much point having a sun kissed monster on a beach setting for January.
Having run the idea past Ped first it has been decided that the cost of the calendar will be charged at the production cost plus a little extra which will be donated to one of the Air Ambulance charities. My thinking on this would be to get a price for a run of calendars depending on how many members would want them and then add say a couple of £’s for the charity.
If there are any forum members involved in the printing industry perhaps they could PM me with ideas on the pricing of producing/printing the final product including the details on the photo types needed.
It would also be useful to have an idea on how many of you would be interested in buying The UKMOC 2009 official and exclusive calendar and how many you might like to order (they will make great pressies for relatives/friends :)
The Photo thread will be a seperate post so look out for it to start posting your pics. Questions on this thread.
