I live in East London and only have a rear stand, guessing you need front one, and no torque wrench. Not much help but maybe between a few of us you rustle up what you need.

Just noticed you have an S2R so even my paddock stand is useless, much like my brain this morning......

Nice one Slob - yet more UKMOC brownie points earned :mand:

Seby,

Mirrors look pretty but can't imagine they are much use? I'm sure they are supposed to be mounted as bar ends rather than inboard of switchgear?

Yep, a good afternoon's fun, assisted Seby with his wavy disc/999 caliper conversion, repacked a Remus can on a Tuono and bled the brakes on an SV650 and then went out for dinner.
Seby's bike is a really sweet work in progress, a good candidate for monster of the month I think.
I'm looking forward to seeing it when he's sorted the new yokes and 999 forks.

Aha, i see you are using the Mityvac kit Rob, mine just turned up this morning from M&P, hopefully get the sticking rear brake sorted this afternoon, provided it stops raining for an hour or two, that is!
Looks like a decent bit of kit.

Yep, good bit of kit, you still want to do a 'normal' brake bleed afterwards but it does make getting most of the air out of the system a doddle. I'd always recommend sticking a bungee round the lever/pedal for an hour (or overnight) first to force as much air up as possible

Ah right.
I thought from reading some of the other posts a while back, by one of the members who advised getting the Mityvac, that it was a pretty straightforward job.
I think Jmo might have mentioned about having the brake pedal wedged open overnight, to get all of the air up to the calliper, bummer : (
If that is the case Rob, does the rear calliper still need to be suspended above the fluid res?
Bollox, i thought i might have got it sorted today!

Thanks for the reply`n advice mate,

George.

no, wedging the pedal down relys on the master cylinder being above the caliper, then the air works its way up into the reservoir. The mityvac will just suck any the remaing air straight through the system. I like to give it a few pumps the traditional way afterwards to ensure their are no bubbles left in the fluid.
