Am I made up about buying a HJC HQ-1 Carbon helmet, just found out on the MCN website that is was one of only a few helmets that recieved five star rating in the Sharp Goverment Motorcycle Helmet Tests.

Oh and did I mention I managed to get it for £150 from www.Bikersdirect.co.uk absolute BARGIN!!!!!!

I guess you got one of the painted ones not the full bling carbon one.

Yeah apart from the price difference, I was a little concerned about the full carbon one getting chipped, it would stand out like a sore thumb!!!

Got the plain carbon version. It's actually quite tough, the surface is as durable as the standard fibre based helmets. Looks cooler though .. If you like CF that is.

Good to know thanks. Considering the plain carbon version is still £250 most places, I couldn't resist a bargin. I actually quite like the painted version now since I got it, looks pretty cool with the carbon fibre showing through in places.

I like the AGV S4 in white.

Tho if I had the money, i would get an Xlite 801 Ago replica........... lush..........

hmmmm im a bit suspicious of the sharp testing stuff but i do like the hq1 good helmet and for 150 its a steal!
