Airbox Mod

Hiya guys

Gonna get my power commander on this weekend, and mod the airbox lid.

I've heard a few people doing the mod in different ways.
Some say just chop a big hole in it.
Some say cut some 20mm holes all around the side and back.

I understand that leaving the snorkal on will stop the rain from getting onto the filter.

Anyone got any advice on which works best?
And will I still get the nice intake noise from both?

i have 3/4 of mine sawn off, cant say i have any problems.
the only thing to watch is that the lid is still rigid enough to shut the box properly

My lid is completely open at the top,its only about 2" all around the side and is only to keep the K&N filter in place

I've cut the top off as well, and had no problems with that (plenty of other problems though...)

My lid is about 30mm tall.....

Thats what I was looking for!

I am thinking about maybe doind a nice fancy design in the lid maybe.
The ducati symbol or something...

Hmmm.

Then again, might just take a hack saw to it and do what you did!
