I have swapped my brake and clutch master cylinders for those from a 748.

Here's a picture of the bracket on the brake side.

The brake side is ok, but I need a new mount for my mirror on the clutch side.

The mount from an S4R won't fit. It's the wrong way up ( vertical instead of horizontal)The only thing I can come up with is a clamp round the bar like this one:
It's not really what I want because it is the wrong colour.

Is this going to fit
a - round the bars of my S2R
b - the mirror on the clutch side? (ie is it the correct thread and size?.)

Also is it similar to the ducati part mentioned here by Albie?

or does anyone know of an alternative? I would rather have something gold.
Does anyone have a bike with brackets like this? Any of the older Monsters?

Can't you just get another one as per the brake side?

Can't you just get another one as per the brake side?

It's a bit complicated.

I am not sure where that one came from. I think it was on Shaun's S4R when I bought his brakes. Moto Rapido fitted the brakes for me.

I got the clutch lever and cylinder from a 748, which has no mirror attached so I ordered the bracket from an S4R for the clutch side but it did not fit.

There must be a bike with similar brackets, but I need to know which one so I can order them.

I will ask Craig at MR if he has any ideas, but it is Thursday tomorrow (his day off) so it will have to wait.

Anne,
yours look the same as 1000ie clamps to me.

the brake side is reverse thread (it has little cuts on the edges of the lock-nut to indicate this)

you should be able to confirm what you need by screwing the l/h mirror into the r/h side clamp... it it goes in ok, just order another r/h side clamp top.

Hope this makes sense.

Thank you slob - it does look like the 1000ie clamp. :mand:

I have DP mirrors so hopefully I just need a standard clutch clamp with the normal (not reverse) thread, but I will check it is not the reverse one first.

The M1000 clamp fitted - thanks rob.
I also had problems getting the right clutch switch but eventually found that the brake switch from a 999 fits!
