Hi

Can someone tell me what pitch and length is a chain for the 750 monster?

520 * 102?

cheers

520 for sure standard and length varies on sprocket teeth you run. Count them if you have a stand.

Ducati owners' manual suggests 520 VL2, 98 links with 15/38 gearing...but I'd check the old one before cutting up a new one

some people 'uprate' the final drive to 525 pitch

But then I'd need
matching sprockets presumably ...

yes you would

errm its kind of normal to replace the lot at the same time

Maybe on the monster, I'll take your word for it. ;) Cheers.
On my Bros, the chain/rearsprocket/frontsprocket seems to wear in the ratio approximately 3/2/1.

It's still wear and the chain will loose some life span if it's got to fit into a slightly wider pitch sprocket.
I usually replace the lot at once when the chains shot, isn't hugely more expensive.

nope on any bike you should always change the chain and sprockets all at once.
The reason being they bed into each other a new chain will destroy old sprockets and new sprockets will chew through an old chain.
