Its all much of a muchness really. They're going to be top whack anywhere you go with not much in the way of savings. Cheapest option would be to get a used one. For a fraction of the cost you can get a fully adjustable Showa unit c/w remote damper, etc... They work just as well to your "average" rider (cheers Nat;) ) so unless you're Rossi you not going to notice.

Mine was a Ducati Performance jobbie. The spring was yellow like most shocks nowadays. I suppose its to mimmick the Ohlins kit. Springs are pretty cheap so you could replace one with the colour of your choice.

Why not try a Wilbers shock?
They are as good as the Ohlins, and cost less - we use one on one of our M800ie race bikes - and it does the job nicely.
David who sells them is in Bury St Edmunds & is a mine of information - he also runs Ducati's - and works closely with a BSB team.

Drop a PM on here http://www.ducatisti.co.uk/ to Nogaromil & say CK said to get in contact :)

springs from Wilbers are usually blue or black - but it wouldnt hurt to ask for any other colour tho :)
