Fenman Classic bike show

The Fenman Classic Bike show is on Monday 25 August in the village of Wimbotsham Nr Downham Market. A little way off but if anyone fancies a day out then stick it in the diary and we can organise a ride in nearer the time.

Although I only live down the road, last year was the first time I went.
I was really surprised at the large turn out. The place is a little hamlet and thousands of motorcycles attend. The inhabitants make all welcome, we knocked on the door of a house and asked if we could leave our gear there, no problem and they wouldn't take anything. That’s what made an impression on me, being made welcome by ordinary folk instead of the hostility we sometimes encounter.

The atmosphere is laid back with all genres represented, no bad behavior, no exhibitionism. I'm not really into the social scene but I like this event.

The show attracts some nice bikes, I'm thinking of entering my S4R this year (should be finished by then). Neil Baldry check this out if you want to see some classics.

Saw only two other monsters and a dozen or so of other Ducatis, and that’s out of a thousand, be nice if we could make a decent presence this year.

Plan to arrive early, lest you will have to park miles down the road.

And oh yeah I am a true Fenman, lived here all my life.
