View Full Version : Saturday meet up, East London.
Anyone up for meeting in Docklands, first Saturday in June (7th)?
Fatboy's Diner, Trinity Buoy Wharf, E14 0JW

(Turn off the roundabout onto the Lower Lea Crossing and immediately take the slip-road, turn right under the flyover and follow the road round to the gates at the end.)
It's close to the Blackwall Tunnel and not far enough into London that the traffic is too bad.
Meeting between 12:00 and 1:00 PM, maybe a rideout into Essex if the weather ain't too bad.

I'm up for this, Rob.
May even bring the misses, if she hasn't got a stickin' hangover from the night before (is her b'day, so will forgive her).
If anyone is based in West London or Surrey and fancies meeting beforehand to ride over let me know and I'll organise a seperate meeting point in the West.

Would have loved to have joined you Slob, but I'll be (road) bike-less as we are at Brands from tomorrow night for the weekend!

anyone object if a mate on a piece of Jap Crap comes along for the ride? (kwaka ZX6R)

I don't mind at all (I have owned and loved many Japanese Motorcycles, as long as it's not a goldwing or something so boring I have to spend all year waiting for it. ZZXX6000000RRRRRRRRRRRR shouldn't have that problem. Stu and used to go out regularly with a couple of guys on CBR6 and Speed Triple and always had a good hoon round the Essex/Suffolk border)
Don't forget it's the 7th not tomorrow.

Yeah no ... got that covered :P
Yeah, trust me there will be no waiting for him... i have my s2r on the limiter to try and keep up (but still don't)
And to his credit it is a nice looking bike too.

Slob - you'll have to 'round up' Simons - he has just brought a M1000sie today ;) & lives in London - I know he is keen to get out & about on it :)
Maybe just us then Jon?
Stu, is your mobile the same as it was?
the weather report is 'blistering' so far so a small but perfectly formed ride out may be in order

As a drunken Norfolk person once said (and not Nonnie for once)...Let's be havin' you! Where are you?
It's gonna be a good day for weather and don't think there's gonna be many this year, so hopefully a few more people can make it.

Will be good to see you there Albie, even if it's for a cuppa and natter. I'll make an effort this time and say more than 3 words per hour! :)

Entertainment for the family. JP's got himself a niche market there.
Will try to be at the diner around 11:30am so if the weather still looks ok we can set off at 13:00 and do a wee B-Road excursion into Essex, maybe catch an ice-cream at Finchingfield before heading back to the great metrollops.

Weather permitting I'm going to try my best to drag my hungover self there for a cup of tea and a chat, I only live 20 minutes away so it would be really lazy of me not to.
Not sure about the rideout as I planned a trip down to Eagle Heights in Kent to see the birds of prey doing whatever it is that birds of prey do, apparently its good, honest.
Scott
The collective monster sound is great.
Especially as you go down between the warehouses on your way into Trinity Buoy Wharf.
