I have to agree with you there.
Neil - I don't know how much they would be, or even if they would fit, but what about the mirrors from the new 696?

i have looked (if only briefly) into them. (heres for seastar upholding their great reputation) i asked the bloke at seastar (norfolk duc dealer) if they would fit, when i was at the 696 launch, and even tho at the time i was sat on a 696, and i could see an s2r 1000 over his shoulder, when i asked, he said 'i dunno, you'll have to find out if the fitment is the same, and come back to me'

for me, they are the nicest bit of the new monster!

Yeah, I reckon the 696 mirrors are nice too. The shape etc is great, but the do feel a bit plasticky, IMO.

Don't worry me, mind. It's a budget bike and I'd rather they spend the money on decent suspension and brakes, which they do seem to have done!
:D

i think i may have to go for a universal fitment pair, with some funny stem adaptors i thinks
