Can anyone rec any?

I found these:

http://www.probike.co.uk/it040004.htm

http://www.on-bike.com/products_original_red.htm

http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?catRef=567185

I like the look of the first two. I want to be able to lift the bike and have access to get front/rear wheels off.

I thought as much but Jerry said he uses a lift?

Its okay for the Transalp at least, maybe I can get something made to make it work on the S4....

*edit* How do you support a Monster to take front and rear ends off?

you could make an adaptor out of wood or something so you can rest it on bottom of engine without crushing exhaust

however doing that you al never get the oil filter off

You would have been better getting full length platform and stays. Do they do a frame with plate.?

So, its okay to support on the engine?

Jerry, how the hell do you do it mate?!!!!!

I wanted a ramp but dont have space (although the lift is larger than expected). Where do you normally support the bike (on a ramp for instance)?

Clamps front and rear wheel or on stands. Abba do a side stand which goes in engine mount hole I think trying to remember AK's

You don't, it's for classic bikes. Can't you exchange it for a superbike lift with the fittings for your bike?
I use the Abba superbike stand that pivots on the swingarm a thin block of wood and a car jack will lift and support the front while you remove and work on front wheel. It's very stable here it is on ex Hornet 900:

When you change bikes you keep the stand just buy a new fitting kit for 10- 15 squids

(addendum to earlier post logged in accidentally under my old user name = redkite2)

I have one of those already, I wanted more height and was originally going to buy a ramp. I have emailed Abba for suggestions (not the pop group).

*edit* I think I found the answer.

for sports bikes abba do a bracket that clamps to the lift that I have.

Clive has the plans for a massive ramp which uses a jack but he adapted it for an electric ram. It's steel and ply and easily takes the Vmax leaving ample room to work and stash tools. We've had my monnie on it with a paddock stand. It's also just the right height to work without bending. I'm sure he could email plans to you if you want to DIY

Cheers, but I dont have the space for a ramp - that was my first choice originally.

Does anyone know if it will be ok to use the front cyclinder bottom cam cover area to support the front of the bike? Seems quite robust.
