Hey there,

I know there are some issues with mixing the wrong metal and getting chemical reactions etc......problem is I'm fed up with furry bolts - so whats the solution?

Can I replace all with stainless steal bolts from kits like these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DUCATI-MONSTER-600-620-750-STAINLESS-FASTENER-KIT_W0QQitemZ370051077102QQihZ024QQcategoryZ10448Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I want to do my engine casings and aluminium yokes too etc - but if this didn't cause a reaction would the bolts be too hard for the aluminium and strip the threads etc?????

Cheers everyone :)

Stainless will be fine for this application

stainless is good just copper slip the threads (so as to prevent corrosion) so you can un-doo them again in the future, and i wouldn't mess with the brake related bolts without thorough investigation

Cheers guys, are they fine for engine bolt replacement too?

And do these all need to be torqued to a set amount?
