Alright clever people,

does anybody know if a '93 900 superlight block is the same as the monster/SS block. to all intents and purposes it looks exactly the same but if anyone can shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, Ben

I have a 1994 SS engine and it has the same mounts etc as the Monster, the main difference between the SS/SL is the carbon fibre clutch cover and the sprocket cover.

I think this is right, as for the carbs they are the same in design, you will just require rejetting if you are swapping them over from your 600.

Ta muchly.
If I do finally bite the bullet and buy a 900 block I'll probably tart it up a bit then stick some FCR's on it. Should be a giggle.

Tracking one down at the right (Tight) price is a mare, it took me 3 years of searching to get a bargain (Everything less carbs!)

Good luck in your search!

York,
just to get my pricing right, how much is the (t)right price for a 900 block (-carbs -clutch -starter) ?
over here, 600 euros is sort of a good price..(it's the price of a 600 block anyway, so i am assuming it's cheap for a 904cc.)

Ben, my block could be up for grabs, but i doubt pand p would make it affordable, and also it wont be complete..
