Can anyone help with the following problem, when traveling slowly in traffic the engine will miss fire, the throttle feels dead and a slight popping sound can be heard through the air filter. This can happen frequently but very quickly recovers, it doesn't hinder progress it's just a bit weird.
Any help greatly received.

Could be TPS wants setting or wrong chip. My 748 does it a bit but i have sort of got used to it now, a bit fluffy i call it. Could just be plugs need changing.

Could be the front cylinder coil, fuel relay, or as above new plugs.

Had this on my S4R and get it on this one too from time to time. The popping and the dead throttle were worse with the 996 engine. If you do alot of town ride consider a different front sprocket. Expect it clears as you accelerate?

do a search on the internet for "ducati misfire" and you will find a **** load of threads on many forums. It is not an unusual problem for Ducati's, very annoying. Mine has one at 4900rpm on a steady throttle and have been trying to get rid of it for some time. hoping a fuel remap might sort it out.

TPS needs to be spot on for good town and slow speed running if it is out by a billionth it will run crappy.
