the number written on it is basically the only visible difference , a photo wont show the difference its just too small

if it really helps i can photo some worn bits off a 750SS carb

i was just wondering if my running problems were caused by not changing a low speed jet in the 600 carbs now i have the 750 engine.

i really doubt it but im desperate for ideas now..

i fitted the dynojet 750 kit to the 600 carbs but his only changed the main jet, needle and springs.

Haynes book of tricks suggest for the 750...

Main jet = 132.5
Main air jet = 70
Needle jet = Y-4
Jet needle = 5CJ1, 4th notch from top
pilot (to end of 97) = 42.5, after 1997 = 40

and the differences for the 600 are...

Needle jet = Y-2
Jet needle 3rd notch from the top
Pilot (to end of 97) = 37.5, after 1997 = 40

so there you go, lots of little differences, and it would appear that the only thing not changed with a dynojet is the pilot thingy. Hope it helps you (cos I've no idea what any of it means!!)

If you want a picture of where it is, let us know and I'll sort something out

Oh, and apparently if the clutch hose is on the right hand side, then it should be pre 1998
