yes, that's right..sniff..
not really selling, but rather giving a few bits away.
(except maybe big worthy stuff.. i need to cut my losses financially !)
so if there is something you need, the odd clamp, bolt(s), pipe, just let me know, i'll see what i can do.
(i got so much from the forum, it's time to give it back !)

OOO stef I'll have first dibs on that fancy gizmo headlight electric whizzymethingy that over all those months of making my advice must have helped.

Nah just kidding it wouldn't look right on the hyperwotsit.

Thinking though couldn't you just put up the old bike for sale on ebay? Buyer collects from Dover. It must be legal in this country if not in France.

afraid not. i need to keep a few bits and pieces, like most of my CF stuff, a few spares like starter motor, regulator.. so all in all, i wouldnt be selling a roadworthy bike.
(it's already missing the forks, since i've put them on my new one until i fix those seals and the front wheel too )

no, but i have the brake disks if you want !
(i was hoping to sell those, but i am open to bargain basement offers ?)
in fact, they wont be available for a while (they are on the new bike, with the complete front wheel..if i'had known, i'd have swapped them yesterday..sorry !)
i'll have to keep them until a new tyre is needed.. How long can you wait ?

in no hurry tbh

really nice actually.
very clean, not a scratch. aprt from the fork seals and front tyre, it's a peach. I bought £10 worth of seals to fix this next weekend. then i might put them back.
the clutch is the quietest one i have ever seen. i havent opened it yet, but it must have that extra disc in (that mod to silence it). Either that, or the Sils are just too loud (they are louder than the WRP i had)
I swapped the front wheel and fork from the old one yesterday. I was planing to ride to work today, but it was a bit wet, so i took the car instead.

I'll take some pictures as soon as i get some descent sunshine, and post them up... then i'll start tarting her up !

do you have left hand switch gear? my left indicator switch has gone on strike and has so far resisted all attempts with contact cleaner, wd40 etc etc, also can't get the bloody thing apart as the mounting screws are a bit chewed up !! bugger, also does your 'breaker' have adjustable levers? if so I'd definitely be interested...

cheers

Hi Stef have you still got the loom ! is it 2 or 3 phase

i do have the loom.
front was hacked off (for the headlight/dash conversion) but the rest is fine.
how do i tell about the phase thing ? (it's a 96-97 or 98)

Kato
30-07-2008, 08:48 AM
I should have said 1 or 3 phase no matter, the difference is there will be 2 or 3 yellow wires for the charging system, thats the multi-plug that goes to the alternator, left hand side casing

from memory, it's two wire (the same number of connector under the left side pod ?)

There are a couple of threads about replacement bolts for the cowl but this post is the most succinct!

Hi,
Do you still have the black metal cross thing that goes behind the number plate and has a red reflector on the bottom of it? (I know which bit I mean!)

Hi,
Do you still have the black metal cross thing that goes behind the number plate and has a red reflector on the bottom of it? (I know which bit I mean!)
Charles

nope, i didnt have one..
but i made one for my new bike consisting of a short piece of metal, with 2 holes lined up with the reg plate holes. the bottom of this piece sticks out at the bottom of the reg plate, enough to put a self adhesive reflector.
you remove the reg plate, insert this, put the reg plate back and there you go.
dead easy.
