That looks great:thumbsup:
Just did the same with my headlamp and it looks so much better for it.

Did you know that a hypermotard oil delivery hose is a straight bolt on if you want to clean up your belt covers.
Not that I'm suggesting you need to....but now the idea is gnawing away inside your head:p

Now with added hyperhose!
I'll need to reroute the wires that are left now I suppose.

Just thought i'd share this with you, was sat here looking at markus's bike and called my mrs over to show her as we've just moved in together this last week and the first thing she said was 'bloody hell, your not going to want to keep your bike in our house now are you'?

i mean really ......petal.......like i'd wanna do that..... (may sneak it in bit by bit tho)

Hey Markus. Whats that exhaust wrap stuff then? Does it do anything apart from look different? And dont it get all sh$tty from the front wheel?

you know what you need Dave ? a slightly longer Earth strap to follow new oil hoses round the other side, there by cleaning the look of the beltcover an extra notch ;) I may happen to have a bit somewhere

Bikes looking great Dave - did you buy the hose new, t'was it expensive??
BTW - love those black cans - nice work!

Hey Markus. Whats that exhaust wrap stuff then? Does it do anything apart from look different? And dont it get all sh$tty from the front wheel?

Honestly i just like the aesthetics - I had black wrap on prior to the copper stuff and it looked cool, yeah it gets a little dirty but adds to the effect i think.
If the sellers are to be believed it's there to keep the temp up (stop heat escaping) hence the air will move quicker helping everything breath right and in the right circumstances add a few extra bhp along the way - Not sure how convinced i am, but it saves me polishing all the pipes each time to get me some shine!

Marcus, the bike looks great. You know what you need next tho...

Jerry, I'm not sure how, maybe you could come by and show me how?????
And can i add what is it on this site that everyone seems to pick up the state of people's gardens??? ha ha
It's as they say - a work in progress!!!!

Congrats on the move in Damon....seriously having the bike in the house is genius......don't get me wrong I have a garage, but this way the bike lives in the conservatory and i get to sit on the sofas, stare and conjure up ideas....mean while many miles away a certain bank manager has another night of restless sleep......

thanks for the nice comments all :)

It was £79 from Ducati, which sounds expensive for one hose but it matches the OE one and was cheaper than two bespoke made ones, besides when I contacted both Earls and Goodridge last year about making this for me they were really unhelpful-basically if its not in the standard list then forget it.

Scotty, I am planning to reroute the starter wire and the oil temp wire which should make a lot of difference.

post some pics when you're done Dave - I'd be really interested in that, thanks mate - the bike looks really good. I really want to do alot of re-routing of things, but electrics scare me (but then so do really old people, and i went to the post office the other day to tax the bike and survived...).

I'll send my garden man

jerry please tell me you really do have a garden man - I'd be soooo impressed!

Getting the time is my problem.
I wont cut any complete wire or componant ,I still have all my stock bits and should I have to I can put the bike back to standard. I'm planning to remove the complete wires and take them into an auto electrician and ask him to make me new ones based on my original fitting but with more length to accomodate the new routing, I was just looking at the pdf workshop manual to see if this will be easy and so far it looks simple. Where its a problem is when the wire terminates in a sealed unit or box.
Its all in the planning I think:idea:
