no idea, but proberly not

the std S4 shock is a 3 way adjustable one

preload , compression and rebound damping

and the S4 being a heavier bike will proberly carry a heavier spring

No - I don't think it will fit. There is not enough room on the frame for it. I got a Wilbers adjustable shock for my S2R.

I'd have thought no, but I expect Gilps will know and recommend a Nitron Unit.

I don't think it will fit. Have you thought about a Nitron?

I got mine from Louigi Moto. The only downside is the purple spring. Either have it resprayed or use an Ohlins as I did. They are about £300.

An absolute NO NO NO NO.Put it like this you can buy mine if you want but you would be a mug. It interferes with the top rail.

You could have got a Wilbers shock - it has a black spring :)

a thumbs up for the Wilbers rear shock from us too - we are running one on one of the race bikes this year - and performance is as good as the rear ohlins on the other bike, tho cost was less.
Contact David (Nogaromill) as on Moleys post above - say CK & AK said to call! :)

And by all accounts he is a bit of a hottie, but I suspect that won't affect you Marcus.

I can send you a photo of my shock tomorrow - It looks quite cool.

I'm not sure we need the ****s!

If the S4 has a "piggy back" shock there's no room for it on an S2R.

Yes it will fit in but if you want to risk clouting the top rail and possibly having an accident as its bottomed out onto solid.

I should know as I just had to shell out for a s4r shock.

Do you really think DUCATI motor holdings would pay out money to a maufacturer if the old one fitted.

Dont try it as we dont want you fu##ing your bike up. But yes it still for sale at £80 + £20 for the adjustable height rod. It will fit all the other Non Hoop monsters.

I wouldnt want you to get so far and think it would. Do you agree with my pictures. Mine was an s4 and hoped I could get away with it. As you can see no. I got a shock with 15miles on it for £100 from spm23 from his s4r. Lucky bunny:biggrin:

Have you actually tried to fit an S4 shock to an S2R rear swinger?

Albie has and it will not fit (see photos)

I know who's advice I'd take notice of
