I am looking for a trackday.
Never been to one before as I am so new. So I have some questions!
Is it just for people who want to to tear around at break neck speed?
Or do they teach you how to tear around at break neck speed?
I am dying to get my knee down but not really sure about the whole thing :on:

Can you recommend some tracks days and what prices are the norm.
I am in Cheltenham so anything close to that.

Personally I'll go watch things like that my knees are fragile enough without putting them more in harms way but you can do either... tear round at break neck speed and investigate interesting gravel patches.. I see you have one of those to practice with at home!! Or you can go and get tuition on how to without causing too much damage.
Usually there will be groups so you're not stuck cruising round with a band of looneys. Watch out for the posts here for suitable days.
Someone will be alongto be able to suggest a good introduction for you, the dates and how much it'll cost you later

there are a bunch of ducatista ladies doing the California Superbike School - CSS. They teach you how to ride properly around a track. Rapid training teach safe, fast riding on a track, but aim to teach skills that are relevant for the road.

Most good trackday organisers have instructors who will take you around and show you how to ride properly, usually for nothing. It's fun, pretty safe and addicitve. Give it a go.

Should have come along to ours tomorrow at Mallory, but too late for that now. We're doing a really good one at Pembrey in South Wales on 7th June, several novices attending, lots of Monsters and other Ducatis, nice and cheap, will pm you the details if you like? You'll be well looked after!

I'd tag along with Zimbo Tess as there will be some friendly faces, and as they're will definintely be monsters there you'll get lots of support and helpful advice.
