Hi to all
I want to change the tank pad on the bike, Has any one done this little job?
I have to get the old one of, whats the best way to get it of!!!:eek:

no - but i put one on and know how well stuck it is. i would suggest you try peeling it off very slowly and gently.

works every time
oooooor hot hot hot water to 'jellyfy' the glue a bit hould help the peeeeeling session and then wd40gt85ac90 to take away and glue type reaidue crud
and then give it a lick to see if its clean

I 2nd the hairdryer, you have to heat it very gently and 'piddle' the corner up very slowly heating as you pull the tank pad back a little at a time, then you'll need to use wd40 or simalar to clean away the residue properly which should be easier while its still slightly warm

I have done It with WD40 and METHYLATED SPIRIT.
The meth's melted the glue
and the WD40 seemed to cleaned up the rest nicely (JOB DONE):woot:
