......... What would you get????

Would you go with a twin? Like an SP2? Would you get a 1000cc screamer like a GSX-R or R1?

(its just a bit of fun, dont think too much into it!)

I'd have another SP1 (has to be the red one) - I loved my previous one, I only had it 6 months before some thieving scumbags took it :grump:

Yamaha R6, in red and white.
Purely for the looks, stubby, muscular and minimalist.

It would be a sportsbike a blade or a gsxr 750, a total contrast to a Monster but theres not really a japanese naked that does anything for me or I could say that looks really special.

Kawasaki W650 or an older VFR750

RC45

In 1997 I had a choice between a 2nd hand RC45 or a new Fireblade, I got the new bike but with hindsight I should have gone for the V4.

It was about £7500 I seem to remember(similar to an import blade),dont recall how old it was at the time, they were rare but still not quite the collectors item they seem to have become in the last few years,
(The same dealer had an R7 but that was too pricey for me at the time, still the only one I've ever seen though)

RC30 or VTR-1000 SP-2

I nearly bought one instead of the S4Rs. In fact, I put a deposit down on it with the proviso that it should clear an HPI check. It didn't so I bailed and got the Rs.

I always wanted the Bimota KB1 and even now would like to get one. In it's day, very cool.

See there was an RC30 for sale recently - Niall McKenzie's - just over 400miles on it....£16/£17k was the problem

Probably my favourite was the the old Kawasaki Z1A 900. Just liked them as they were just so different to the bikes at that time - they were a huge step forward for the biking world (but never liked the Honda CB750 though - too bulbous). At the time, I could only afford a new Z650C2 (Moondust Silver) which I still have today - fitted with a Yoshi 716cc big bore kit, cams and race 4into 1. Looks standardish but has rearsets and a dresda box swing arm.....certainly not concourse as it was my working bike through the week and my race bike at the weekend!! Crikey the roads were so quite back in the 70's................

Wish I'd won the £95m lottery last week cos my garage/museum would be full this week!!

The new Yamaha XT660Z Tenere - playmobile-tastic RTW trailie! and a betty bargin too!

I also like the look of that 'concept' CB1100R that Honda have been touting round the shows... retro-tastic!

Oh, and a Honda Rune for when I'm back in the USA...

Something covered in plastic with a £1000 Corona paint job, so I could inspect the plastic for cracks and the paint for chips on a daily basis, get paranoid and end up selling it to relieve the stress of it all......as I did with my GSXR. LOL

PS I wouldn't be seen dead in combat shorts and a baggy t-shirt :look:

Honda CB400/4. Gotta love those pipes!

My wife had a CB550/4. We called it the African queen as it made the same sound as the boat in the film of the same name. Both are nice bikes though. 400/4 nice in yellow. Hate it when people 4 into2 ot 4 into 1 pipes on them. Totally spoils them.

My old ZX600 F3. Still the maddest, stupidest, daftest bike I have owned to date.

I do like the look of the new Speed Triple, but would rather have the 675... Strange... Oh I am :D

Honda CB400/4. Gotta love those pipes!

I've got one, it's my third one. Great fun on the local twisty roads.

There are a few bikes from the same era that are a bit special. The original
Z1, the Kawasaki Mach lll and RD400 all stand out.

You're all wrong. :look: If you're gonna have to buy a jap bike it should be the maddest mentalist most lairy thing out there and having been to the dealer launch last Thursday I can safely say that if, and its a big IF, I was going to buy a jap bike it would have to be the new Kawasaki ZX10R. 200BHP should make you wince and if not the very small £8950 brand new price should definitely seal the deal. :D

MT03 cos it's short wheelbase and looks a bit different. I love the MT01 but it's just way too big. Trailies are out due to lack of legs.
