Ive just fitted my CF Monza Belly pan from spareshack to my S2R. Unfortunately the exhaust is touching the belly pan along one side. It was a struggle to fit round the exhaust which i can only presume is down to the fact that my termi exhaust uses a larger diameter de cat pipe then standard.

Is it okay if its touching the carbon or will it melt and cause a mess and or fire!!!!:fiery:

Any comments welcome.

Cheers

Alex

Easy(ish) to fix. I stuck some masking tape on and marked around where the exhaust was touching. Then using a dremel type tool (or a file/hacksaw blade) cut off the offending bit and then smoothed the edges with 240 grit wet or dry. Sorted.

My Fibreglass pan burned 1st time on. I used a soldering mat from B&Q wrapped round and secured with lock wire.

I surpose exhaust wrap would do the same without compromising the bellypan.

Anyone used exhaust wrap and how does it stay on the exhaust?

Did you manage to sort this out Alsduc? - I have the same problem with mine.
I can't cut the bellypan out cos too much of it is too close to the decat pipe.

Just lose the De-cat pipe, unleash the power

That might leave a bit of a gap between the termis and the engine. I'm deaf enough as it is!
