Up North this evening it's a balmy 11 degrees C. I was in the garage polishing my shoes for the daily grind wot pays for my profligate lifestyle. I couldn't resist taking the cover off my beloved (no, not Mrs BRD, she's still at work bringing the next generation into the world). I know I've enjoyed a pre-nosh G&T & most of a nice bottle of red, but I was thinking how much I love my bike! I am very lucky in that it is pure indulgence & I don't need it for everyday transport. I only ride it when the fancy takes me & this may make me see it through rose-tinted wotsits but still.......
Anyone else feel the same?

Yes as I have 2 gorgeous bikes in my garage. The 748 is the best looking by far. Well saying that the s4 is actually no more at this point of time but will be appearing in the garage redressed and better than ever after surgery.:D

Tiz true, these Italian beasties are rather nice to look at... New plugs and oil change in the Monster today (whilst trying to fix the ignition on a 406!!), and I decided to take the camera out too!!

Might as well get a picture of both of them before one of them breaks down (according to those in the know that don't own Italian engineered vehicles!)

Here's a tip. Keep them indoors then you don't have to go outside and remove covers to see them.

Why would you want a picture of me polishing my shoes? (even if they are Italian!)

A picture of the G&T would be good - I have been (almost) teetotal for 4 months!
After that, a picture of the Monster with cored cans!

You're doing well! Unfortunately we still have loads of xmas booze left over which is begging to be drunk.

Tother half is spending time in the workshop teaching himself to tig weld so he can make zorsts for his something special (the max) and so he can cut the hoop on my tail end and lower my something special just a bit more. Not forgetting my lovely little Gentry that himself wants me to sell so I can buy a better Duke!

He bought himself a whizzy battery operated one that stays at the right light so you can see what you're doing when the rod first hits. I haven't had a go yet, but maybe tomorrow.:mand: I can mig weld but not terribly well, things do stay together which is the main thing I suppose. I did a bit of brazing a few years ago and tig is supposed to be a bit like that apparantly. Clive was good at gas welding before so it's easier for him to adapt.

I've been lost in my garage for 2 days!! Damn Italian things making me think "that looks nice... ooooo" Then I found a Blandit hiding in the corner and escaped quickly!! :chuckle:

Do I drive to work or use the bike in the morning??
