I'm sure you guys have heard me bang on about these guys before. They will be running a number of trackday training days too.
I've been given a heads up for the following dates but not released just yet.
Dates are

Cadwell 12.5.08
Snetterton 9.6.08
Oulton Park 1.7.08
Cadwell 4.8.08
Brands Hatch 8.9.08

I'm going to do both the Cadwell Park dates and the Brands Hatch date too, when they're released.

I'll let you know & you can join me if you like.

I've been looking for something like this, spotted the website a while ago.

Got a rough idea about price? I'm very interested, seems he next logical step to take...

Sure Jim. Price if I remember correctly is around the £150-£180 mark if I remember correctly. Well worth doing especially Brands Hatch as it's our closest track. Either with these guys or MotorSportVision are the company that run a lot of the other dates at tracks around the country.

Cadwell Park or Oulton Park are too far to go up there in the morning so would probably mean a stay nearby the night before.

J.P

Ummm, Feb. Cold & possibly wet. Not sure about that. Might save my days holidays for later when the chance of rain is slightly less.

And Jezza, defo looking at June 21st for Italy. Take a week riding and then I'll ride down to my friends place around the 28th June to spend a week with the wife by the pool.

I've booked Cadwell on the 12th May.

Is anyone overnighting in B&B around Louth the night before?

J.P
23-01-2008, 01:09 PM
I'll definitely be doing that Steve, but haven't made any arrangements yet, I don't know the are at all.
If you have any suggestions ?

I have relatives living 45 miles down the road if I'm stuck, but would prefer to roll out of bed as late as possible, have a big fat fry up, and travel 5 miles rather than 50. I've booked the time off work so it's officially a holiday :woot: .

I was rather hoping some of you old hands would know a good B&B near by.

There are a number of B&Bs advertised on the MotorsportVision web site
http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/cadwell-park/circuits/cadwell-park.asp
I'll check them out

How about this:

http://www.blackhorse-donington.co.uk/index.htm

3 miles from the circuit

It's a pub and restaurant

8 rooms en suit tea/coffe tv etc

£32 single room, £49 double twin including breakfast

off road screened (by trees) parking

biker friendly

I also found this one. http://www.halfmoonhotelalford.co.uk/index.html

One small advantage is a lock up and alarmed garage is available free of charge. Which I like the idea of.

Singles £45 and about 7 miles.

Actually Steve, your place looks better.
I'm sure that would be fine with Scrapps.

You want me to make a booking myself ?

Black Ferret
23-01-2008, 03:03 PM
Yeah, go ahead and book youself in.

I've just book myself a single and a provisional booking for a second single for Scrapps. He's holding the room until Monday without a deposit.

Scrapps
can you let me know if £32 is OK

I'm off home now, but I'll prolly be on line later

So Gadget/Scrapps you still going to be able to go for Monday at Cadwell Park ?
Black Ferret has already confirmed to me he's still on.

Don't forget you need the two disclaimer forms and your drivers license.

See you Sunday night at the Black Horse Inn if you can make it.

A fantastic day at Cadwell Park in the sunshine.
Scrapps, Gadget and BlackFerret all made it and we were all very good.

A really well run trackday with no idiots or people in the wrong group which made a big difference to the day. The track is wonderfully flowing and really long which gives to a little more time to think in between each turn.
Bloody lovely it was.

Next date is August the 4th at Cadwell if anyone wants to join me there as I'm already booked it.

jp and black ferret ran very well in the inters, gadet was running well in advance (even with a lot less power than most the field).and I was keeping up in the novice group.. the 5hrs to get home was a bit of a pain but still had a great day.(the mountain is awsome)
