I took possession of my new Monster yesterday. Anyone got any advice on how to keep her shiny? I've used Scottoiler FS365 on my other bikes; it stops the rust but has a nasty habit of getting onto the discs when I spray it...makes for some scary moments on the twisties. :eyepopping:

I use the scotoiler stuff, and just make sure it doesn't get on the discs.

Have fun with your Monster.

With all the salt & grime one the roads it's probably worth at least giving the bike a spray down with a hose if you can, that'll help get rid of some of the salt and at least neutralise it. Then the FS365 before you put it to bed.
Remember though that it'll smoke like hell when the bike gets hot again, so don't think you're on fire !

Excellent stuff - 2 winters and no signs of corrosion except for the rear sets, which is down to Ducati's dodgy workmanship (see threads about engine paint flaking).
