Soooo...if anyone hasnt been to Cartagena, book to go immediately! I just did 4 days on track there and had a great time. What an amazing track....very different from Mallory and Brands, and lots of accidents. Luckily, this time i stayed on the bike :)

I spent the first 2 days on a R6 and then a day on the 999 cos the monster turned up leaking fork oil and i needed to get the right tools to fix it...but last day on the monster was really good. Can't wait for more track days next year!

Steve Plater and Simon Crafar were there....top fellas....

well done Nim! With the site being down so much recently I'd forgotten that you were going.

Was it the track monnie you took? How was it?

And to think you were worried about doing the UKMOC trackday at Mallory!!
Glad you had a good time and stayed upright.

Good ain't it! I did 500 miles in 3 days last year (we lost 1/2 a day to rain and 1/2 a day to a vintage car meet)

Good on ya, Nim. Am very green eyed.

Glad you had a great time! How did you find the 999 to the R6 - bit of S**T comparison but would be good to know, as I know you're keen on buying a sportsbike.

In answer to all all of your questions....the R6 was terrifying (first day on new track, bike id never ridden, hangover AND Simon Crayfar following me all made it terrifying)....but by the end of the day i loved it in relation to that track. Great for corners and wicked down the straight. The 999 wasnt that well suited to such a twisty track, but was fun. The monster was amazing to get back onto on the 3rd day....i felt at home (at last!), and was overtaken mainly on the straight...was brilliant around the corners. I took in relatively easy since so many people were crashing, and it was open pit lane full of crazy biker style people (imagine :)). There are a couple of pics of us in the pit lane ill put up here, i havent seen my pics from the track!
