This is all over the London papers today as another example of mad riding.

Looks like the Yorkshire moors to me ?

says Yorkshire at the top of the page. Bit silly on the road. And illegal too.

Personally, I thought some of the overtaking was more of an issue than the speed.

that must be kmh, it looks quick, but not that quick ...
i agree with jerry, the overtaking was more if an issue in my eyes. who the feck does 170+ in the wet tracking the white lines :fou: :fou: :fou:

Damn right it was. Don't think they'd agree with that sort of riding on my IAM or Rapid Training days eh Jerry ?

no indeed! The positioning was all wrong too :chuckle:

I'm going to do another when the weather's a bit better - want to join me again?

Surely  that's a kmh speedo. If converted to mph, it's 110mph which appears to look right. Road conditions looked damp. Riding close to the lead bike is looking for trouble.

The overtaking was just plain stupid:thumbsdown: with so many motorists around to witness 'bikers' yet again spoiling it for the majority.

Press sensationalising speed yet again, but who can blame them when footage like this is banded around!

Mark Nambduke

I was more impressed by the protective denim he was wearing to carry out his incredible feats of derring-do!! TOSSER!! AS said already, its tossers like him who get away with it whilst those of us who ride more sensibly get shafted or hit by cars etc.

That was KMh, he only went up to 110 MPH. Very bad driving ofcourse, terrible overtaking, all over the place down the hill and in the bloody rain!

Was it Yorkshire? all it would have taken was the Hound of the Baskivilles to run out of a bush and he would have been yorkshire pud....with extra ketchup!

Sure, seems a good idea, just make sure it's a sunny, dry day in the spring.
Maybe you should try for Jon Taylor again, at least he does West Kent rather than East Kent, which should be easier for you.
Let me know next year. God, that makes it sound so far away.

I really don't believe that speed either. I watched the TT earlier in the year on the google box and watching them do the circuit with the "onboard camera" was a lot more impressive.

The rider is one of two shown on an accident blackspot on the A628 in South Yorkshire known as Woodhead Pass. (bloody southerners):p
Agree it looks like kph, also if it were mph he would need a supercharger to get from a ton to 170 that quick.

looks like MPH to me, if its was KPH then they barely topped the ton and on an R1 it would be difficult not to

the clips three or four years old

dry, now THAT would be a nice change!

And maybe a run over the Stelvio.

Yep- ****heads. Why do people do this? If you want to ride quickly, why not find a quiet road with no cars, and then keep it to yourself?

Posting a video like this on the web shows a distinct lack of IQ.

It was the white lining in the wet with oncoming traffic that made me go cold.

...and really narrow roads

It would only take a numpty swerving to avoid a pot hole or a bit of diesel and it would have been really nasty.
