Hi to all Beds and Bucks,
I've been off the site for some time and don't appear to be able to see many of the old posts, so I thought I'd just ask the question "what are you up to?". As wet, windy, cold Winter begins to settle in and the council prepare to lob mountains of salt and grit all over the roads, I guess I won't see many people out and about on their bikes.
This last few weeks I have mostly been having "workplace issues", I've been to the Ducati factory and Museum in Italia, and now I'm looking forward to the Christmas break. I see Thumper has joined the S4 owners club, but there are still so many unanswered questions...has Kevlar got his bike back in one piece and on the road...has Stormie bought a Tricolore 1098 with all the wind-damage roofs he has been repairing....has Marcus changed anything else left remaining on his S2 and has he demolished the conservatory in the process....what became of the Superman underpants....what the hell are they doing with the road layout around the White Horse Pub!!...???
So why not sit in the warm and post up here, whats new with you. :mand:

Bike is back together and fully functioing :)
It is also tucked up under a nice warm blanket for the winter - ahhh bless
I was using the GS500 until I sold it - now back to 4 wheels for the time being.

Ok, Ok, so not content with buzzing about in extremely expensive sportscars, you're now going get the ultimate Ducati as well....I hate you with a passion you can only imagine!

I'm amazed that you haven't found something else to modify, bolt on, change, crop etc during the long dark months sat in your conservatory. I don't want to even think about you in "Hulk pants". The 848 looks stunning, but so did the 14 desmodici's that Rebel and I saw all lined up in Bologna, all sold at £45,000 each!!! Rebel is her usual self, like a rabid pitbull with violent psychosis problems, but although everything is done as planned, she is already making noises about refitting the bathroom completely, will it never end!

Woohoo Hi Steve!
All the Bucks rebels are coming out of hiding...Blimey sounds like you've had a bit of a hard time of late. Hope the new jobs going well, I am currently looking too, bad time of year to have no job eh...be nice to organise a 1 off weekend drinky at the White Horse for us lot.... wotcha reckon?
Markus is still hiding... probably in my front garden waiting to steal the S4's dry clutch :p
Great to hear that you now have a S4! New job is looking pretty damn good and I think it's all worked out for the better. make sure your CV is loaded up on some of the prime employment sites, "Monster", "JAM Recruitment" etc, I got three head-hunters approach me, had two companies that I was being interviewed by, and had a formal job offer all within 8 days of posting my CV, so best of luck to you!
Watch your shiney bits on the S4, Marcus likes them as well as open clutches!

hehehehehe Hi Steve, nice to see you (virtually) again!
SO jealous of your factory trip, I guess I'll put that on my extensive wish list for next year.
On the news front... well Christine (Stormies other half) has only gone and ordered herself a brand spankin new 696!!! The countdown to May... March... whenever it is begins!
My S4 affectionately named "DaffyDuc" is going great. I hated it at first and couldnt ride it, turns out MEZ4 tyres were causing all the problems, so hes now sporting some Conti Road Attacks the same as Pinky.
I love it now and am saving the pennies for a SWEET open clutch kit I saw at the NEC from Oberon Performance. Also on the list is an original seat as the Corbin is lethal, a flat bar conversion, Oberon studded footpegs have been bought just havent fitted them yet.
Daffy WILL be going PINK sometime in the new year when dosh permits, gotta have a Pinky II!
In the meantime see "Is Thumper a Hooligan" in general chat to see what trouble I've been causing :mand:
Thanks for the tips on the job front, Ive got something through till Xmas now which is great, Ive applied for a lot more as well. I am already on Monster (naturally) but I'll take a look at JAM and some others as well, cheers for the el tippo!
Right well I'm off to work now, in a retirement village, on an S4.... with Remus open pipes :chuckle:
TTFN!
