Calendars and Events

does anyone else have trouble navigating about to find what's on?
i tried the ' Whats On This Week and Weekend'
"Use this area to tell us whats on this weekend. Every Monday this area will be cleared and ready for the next weekend." thread and it's seems to be a few months old (i.e. not being cleared out as stated in the title)

the calendar only seems to have birthdays in - which is nice, but, when i first was looking there were repeating events in it - like 2nd thursday of the month 'blah blah blah',

just wondering who is in 'charge' of such things

actually, add to that if you go into year view and then click on a day or month
you get a 404
