Hi Zarah

I live just near Southend, and can quite regularly been found down there on my Monster enjoying an ice cream or better still, hot chocolate in the Winter sun shine. There are some good rounds round here and always a couple of bikers about, so drop me a line if you fancy a brew one day.

Zarah,

The Kent mob's had some good runs to Essex in the past. Maybe we can sort another trip into Essex & it's infamous lanes (Burnham on crouch tea shop) in the spring?

Hi Zara and welcome to the club - I'm Benson AKA Rachel and I'm Essex and London Rep. I've posted a few things about an Xmas get together if folks fancy meeting up but rest assured there will be plenty of opportunities for rides out and about as the weather imprpoves.

I'm based in East London and am rather liking the idea of a ride to the Ace cafe for one of their huge fry ups one weekend soon so if you fancy a ride let me know otherwise look forward to meeting you at some point soon!

Hi guys, another newbie from Essex... loving the bike and loving the Essex roads, just a shame I've only got one other mate who rides.

Would love to meet up for a chat and ride now and again?

I live in Southend, Westcliff to be precise, normally go out for a ride down the sea front, up to Burnham, and sometime round Bicnacre and South Woodham. Found a love way back from Parkinsons in Colchester yesterday.

Oh, and I was also the one who caused the 127 to close on Wednesday just gone. Some young girl in fiesta ran in to the back of my Focus whilst in the stationary 127 traffic. Hers caught alight and took my car, and all my stuff with it! So, sorry of you were caught in that!

Hi To Zarah
I'm in Hadleigh Essex so not far from the chip shops of Sarfend and the good pubs in Old Leigh.

Zarah, do you work in a research lab in Cambridge/ Saffron Walden ?

Cheers
Hugh

Sorry to hear about your A127 dilemma Jim yes I was caught up in that jam of the decade he he :fou:

Hi to all, I have been using the site for a month or two now but I am a newbie to the Monster family. I dont actually pick uo my Monster from Metropollis until late Jan but the Ace Cafe sounds like a great plan. I live in Reiget Surrey so Box Hill wll be a regular for me when the heavens have sealed up for a while.

If anyone is ever heading to box hill before then and fancy's picking me up on the way that would be great. I sold my Susuki as part exchange for the S2R so at the mo I am shanks's pony man, may go out and buy a Marin Bike until the monnie is sorted as I am starting to feel like Forrest Gump in his running stage....:dizzy:

See you all soon.

Yeeah, sorry about that, but I didn't have much say in the matter.

No real signs of bad whiplash yet, which has surprised me considering she hit me doing a good 40 she thinks.

Scariest thing was how quickly her Fiesta went up, was on fire straight away and within 15 mins both cars were just a fire ball. Right opposite the Esso station too.

I just sat on the wall with a cigarette watching my motor go up in flames! Couldn't help but think about what would happen if I was on my bike... :(

It seems there are loads of Monsters not too far from Southend. I live in Rochford and have a 900 Monster with Custom paint and silly pipes.

I think a New Year meet for Hot Chocolate on the front might be in order if anyone facies it?

A spring day in March ?

Do people still drive up and down the seafront at 5 mph to pose ?
Or am I just soooooo 1985 ?

I must admit i wasn't that sad. when i was 17 i didn't have a Ford RS Mexico, with full Roll cage and West Ham's Floodlights bolted to the front, with more speakers in the boot than my entire family had in their house and drive up and down thinking young girls liked that sort of thing. Someone else did all that

Yeah, never to admit to being a West Ham fan.

I'm up at Colchester and try to get over to the other side of the water, to meet up with the kent mob at the Oakdene cafe when I can. If anyone from Essex is out and about or if anyone wants to join me riding down to Oakdene, please let me know

I'm hoping to get the bike out a little more often this year.

Cheers for now and welcome to the club.

I live in Colchester - there seems to be a distinct lack of monsters on the roads near me. Have maybe only seen half a dozen or so in the last year!
My bike is currently being put back together again by Parkinsons, but will generally be out and about most weekends when I get her back.

J.P

Hopefully it won't be too long for you Seb. Then you could come join us at Southend on the 9th.

The exhaust is doing fine, not sure about a pillion as I've actually taken the pillion pegs off.

All I can say its a tad loud, and the right foot goes a bit numb after an hour or so., but I won't be changing it.:mand:
