Have to agree with "wait for the real bike". At the moment I prefer the current bike, but then I'm only very slightly biased!

Keep the cans, chop the tail, mmmmmmmmm, nice.

(I still have a teatray but its lifespan is limited)

nope, that's pig ugly. It looks like someone has taken the front of the retard and 'monsterized' the rest.

It's going to be REALLY windy up there too

That would be one very short bike with a tailchop.
I agree about losing the pipes but then very few of us are still on the standard ones anyhow.
I'd be slightly surprised (and disappointed) if they put that cast chunk at the back of the frame, given their history of tubular trellis, I'd expect hypermotard/multistrada style rear engine mounts.
Swingarm is very cool.
I'm looking forward to seeing the real thing either way, Ducati have hardly been falling short lately with the sport classic, 1098 and hypermotard IMO.

I think that can would look uber cool if it was just a standard megaphone shape instead of having the protector half way along it. Deffo needs a tail chop though but it looks like Ducati know that too hence the way its been designed.

That tank looks way too small to be able to go any great distance!!

AND yes I am aware that this is an artists impression.

I have to say if thats anything close to how the new Monnie is going to look then I'll be on a monster again pretty soon!! :D

It does look like someone has done a quick copy and paste on their laptop, but if that was in the flesh (metal) on a stand in front of you it would be a nice looking machine, I like the bigger swing arm, and that really short tail look ... But, I guess we will have to wait till November. ... That pipe really has to go though, man that things ugly !!!

It interesting, but I'm not yet convinced it actually the monster yet.
I look at those pipes and cant help thinking 'is it the scrambler thats been talked about'.Plus ,where is the routing for the rear cylinder?,seperate pipe on other side?
Anyone else think the swingarm is a bit chunky?

better, but it's a bit high. Italians aren't known for long legs.

The engine is the wrong way round on that one desmo, it looks like a personal design project for someone.
(though I prefer it to the first one)

I HATE that first Monster with a passion. It doesnt even look like a Monster. Monsters should be curvy, have a big curvy tank, a low scooped seat, a curvy tail and on a 900cc+ a single sided swingarm. Either twin stacked or low level pipes, really dont like the first one.

This one however:

Yeah, I can see my remortgaging for that

I'm for curvy too. Not sure about single swingarm, I think they look a bit unbalanced. I quite like it but it would have to be able to go very low before I'd buy one.
