Wonder how this evaluates with percentage of actual road miles per camera.

Traffic cameras and their numbers differential. Europe

Ireland = 24
Norway = 24
Netherlands = 65
Denmark = 4
Poland = 8
Austria = 971

Germany = 105

I was in Poland last week, they dont need speed cameras as the roads are so bad, traveled about 300km and did'nt see one bike...avoid

Thats about 1 camera per 5000 people UK, 1 per 300,000 in France and 1 per 78000 in Germany (official 2004 figures).
The road deaths per million are 56 UK, France 93 and Germany 71 .
I'm sure the camera lobby will say 'Ah see proves it' very smugly, if it did on a comparative basis we should have had ummm :scratch: counts fingers and toes Yep under 100 road deaths total in the UK.
There were actually 3500......
