Just got back from a day at Brands. Great fun & didn't end up in the gravel, ala NIM.
I did manage to get the back end out of line about half way round Clearways. On the gas too early and leaning over as far as I could.
That's the point at which I clearly remember having the time to think "Oh my God, here I go, I'm either going down and sliding, or, it's gonna snap back into line and I'm going over the top".
But I stayed on and I live to fight another day. Though I was leaning so far over my boot is KNACKERED !

Managed all afternoon without getting passed once and I think all those middle aged men on their Japanese rockets were a little surprised to keep being passed my mighty red.

I saw Yellow Fever at the track on his 600 Monster which was the first time since he came off at Mallory Park. Good on you.

Sounds like a top day, Justin! Boots add character!!!!

How did you go about booking it? Do you have a web link or tel number?

Through that company I've used before www.rapidtraining.co.uk

I think it was the last one they are doing for the year. But MotorSportVision run most other the trackdays around . Just go to the Brands Hatch website and have a look at trackdays.

Well, with the weather turning a bit more autumnal, a mid-October trackday could be pushing it for the weather.
One thing I did notice was that come 5pm Brands was really filling up again with people turning up for the 'evening session'. You could look at one of those maybe ?

Anyway, I had a great time but really missed having people I knew there to talk to. Shame I missed the one on the 13th.

Yeah was a fab day and I can confirm JP was flew the UKMOC flag
impressively. Needless to say me and my 11 year old M600 were not doing much
passing, more playing role of mobile chicane on straights, tho' I
enjoyed the corners and being indy circuit it was mainly corners! Did get a
bit concerned (given others experiences) when instructor told me I was
nearly touching my can down at Druids. Have done some additional
chamfering to this can via a crash at Silverstone (Mallory was first one
back since then and kept it shiny side up, pleased to say, if rather
slow). But not looking to do any further crash induced chamfering......

The fact the circuit is far from flat made it more intesting (read
frightening - at least at first) especially Paddock Hill bend where there
was a big crash in novice group - poor bloke went in fast enough to get
all the way across the gravel trap and into tyre wall, tho' he was OK
(bike was not...).

Probably last track day for this year, but looking forward to track
days next year and brands is so handy for me (E London) that I'm sure a
return trip will be on the cards....

love Brands. Just been down to pro twins - they've got a 749r track prepped, plus the standard bits for ok money...

all those middle aged men on their Japanese rockets
They're the worst kind - born agains! Thank god I'm not old and middle aged... Like 30 or something:eek:

I went a bit too far on a powerslide recently. Ended up brushing most of the A500 off my leathers!

Did you check out the darkie you'd layed on the next lap?

Dave, 27:D

The only 'darkie' was inside my leathers Dave.

LOL
Do you realise those Ugg boots are nearly as expensive as the Daytonas?
