4.5k or thereabouts. Mainly used for balancing in slow traffic when commuting to work.

My old Bandit rear brake pads lasted about 38,000 miles. Then again, the rear brake is an optional extra ;)

Change the Monsters rear pads about 8000 miles ago, still fine. Loads of pad left :D

Rear brake is only used for putting the brake light on, when using engine braking.

Indefinitely, never use it.

Oh, and btw FB, there's no fluid in the rear brake of the 1000.....

Never mind brake fluid - think it needs something in the fuel tank...Did podgero tell you the mighty AMG pimpmobile beat your old nail off the lights on Wednesday ???? :D :chuckle:

I wore my standard rear disc out in 25K miles, being an urban animal, I have eventually learned not to drag my foot on it, which is easily done if you spend alot of time in heavy traffic (which is why our country cousins are telling you they last forever) Also the standard discs are some sort of stainless steel which has good frictional qualities but is soft as sh!te and wears out in no time, especially of you use sintered pads).

eh??? I live in Chelsea and Surrey... Is that the countryside?? :chuckle: Then again, the brake pads were fine on my Blandit, the calipers seals were fudged!!
