Hard Gear Changes - Just Me?

Just got my 1st monster monster on the road and it is alomost imposible to get it inot 3rd gear from 2nd! Is this a common problem of just my bike.

The is a nasy kncking coming from somewere as well dont know if could be connnected as not the best on engide of things

and all the other gear changes are easy ? doesnt sound good like

the outside of the engine mechanism is clean and smooth in operation ?

Sound like the gearbox or selector mechanism could be fooked :on:

As Scotty said - double check external linkage/pedal for wear and tear, also make sure the clutch is working 100%

The knocking you mention isn't a good omen, and if it's a gearbox fault then you'll be looking at engine removal & strip down to fix it. Out of interest what mileage has the motor done, and what if any history did you get from previous owner?

I dint get any history, got about 30,000km on the bike. I got it cheap and took a chance was ok. Just got it mot's as well. Cant ride it as have a problem with the back wheel ir swingarm now

Adam do you need a haynes manual for the bike?
Got one that's relatively free of oily finger marks which now isn't much use to me.
