Sorted!

Thanks to Natty Boy for all the lovely parts and Ducati Coventry for spending 3 days trying to figure out what screen fitted the cowling

Over winter when I possibly have some more money I am planning on getting it resprayed (still with a pink theme) and getting the engine powder coated back to its former glory. Also to come will be some Oberon parts, Natty has ordered me the polished valve head covers, a dynojet kit and filters.

The mirrors look lovely Nim but theyre as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I cant see much in them and they vibrate all the time, got some rubber washers to fit tomorrow to see if that helps. They look darn good though! hehehe

The exhausts are mental. I took it for a quick ride today and the fuelling is appalling so Zippy the Z1000 is up for sale so I can get a dynojet kit, filters and a dyno run to sort it all out.

Thanks Markus. Not too great health wise at mo, even me doctor today said "what the f" when he saw me sitting there in leathers. So I wont be riding much until the men in white coats fix me ;) Hopefully I'll make it Sunday to show the Dook off tho :woot:

LOL thanks everyone.

Oh yes the PINKness does attract lots of attention, negative or not I just like the attention :D

I like my swirly txt numberplate hehe I've got a more "dinky" sized one on order as I swear the current windsail takes at least 10mph off the top speed!

After a ride today on it I still cant get over the exhausts, they sound SO cool and all the traffic moves out of my way!!

I have a trackday at Silverstone booked on 3rd Sept and I am finding it difficult to not take the Monster over my CBR400 ;)

Hi.....just wondered whether you'd had any luck with the rubber washers for the mirrors ? Did they make any difference ?
I've fitted some very nice carbon tear-drops to my S2R....look fab but also useless. Wasn't great today when trying to avoid what must have been the entire Sussex and Surrey Police Force between Brighton and Gatwick this afternoon.....pulling everyone over for anything by the look of it.
Maybe some rubber will help....
Thanks

Hi John,

Yes I fitted some rubber washers but it made the mirrors undo themselves

Still trying to figure out a way to stop them vibrating so much, as soon as I find one I'll let ya know!

Yeah - with that colour you could be mistaken for His Yerburyness  (That is unless Alex has repainted again?)

Thanks re the mirrors....any ideas more than welcome. Maybe if I was a bit faster it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but as they are right now I can literally only just see if there's anything behind me, let alone whether it has blue flashing lights......which isn't good really. If I can't find some way of improving them I may have to put the huge standard ones back on.....
