carbon side pannels?

im after some carbon fibre side pannels and was told some dont fit my bike (s2r 800) like m620 and son on is this true as thay all look the same to me.

I got some side panels from an M900 to put on my S2R.
they did not fit - the welding on the newer frame was in the way.

I managed to adjust them by using a dremel to cut a corner off each panel.

If you want ones to fit exactly, make sure you buy side panels to fit a post-2005 bike, (I would think any model will be ok)
