I think I'm free that bank hol assuming there's no plague pestilence flood or drought to ramp the local NHS into panic mode.
Only 90 miles away and all nice A's, gotta go for that. Anyone else over my way thinking of going?

I meant to text you H, but sort of didn't get that done either.. All a bit crap really.

I was late as well, but that was Markus's mates fault on the SV coz I stopped and phoned to make sure they were ok ;)

Now I keep telling people this... Ducati Monster meet... and the only bike to break down was... a SUZUKI!!

Nice to meet you too Nick, look forward to more meetups in the future

Believe it or not my Suzuki broke down on the way home...

The twat who sold it to me fitted a new battery a few weeks ago. Only he decided the nuts were optional, and the leads were held on with loose bolts only. One of which popped out on my ride back. Losing all power suddenly wasn't a lot of fun, and could have been a lot messier....

You should of called, I'm sure someone had a couple of bolts in their garage, we could of come met ya and fixed it to get you home.

Hope you managed to get home ok without calling breakdown.

It was all ok in the end, I was only 5 mins from home, so put the bolts back in nut-less... I had a set at home so swapped them over today.

I thought I was crap with bikes, but still shocked how the last owner thought it was ok like that!

What a lovely day it was for a good ride, well done Hayley for bringing it all to-gether - i got home with 3 minutes to spare to put on my E Bay carpet bid ! - top job - i won it - now i have to trog all the way to Halstead in Essex to collect it!

Nice one Hayley. Had an OK ride home apart from a nasty front end slide on diesel mid roundabout in Milton Keynes, thought I was off (for the second time in a week) but fortunately it gripped again at the last possible moment and got itself back in shape, so glad I went for the Corsas!!!

They all do that sir - bloody roundabouts are shocking for diesel round these parts - garage forcourts are even worse, nearly dropped mine on the way home too when getting petrol and i put my foot on the floor and my foot just kept on sliding.......could have been embarrassing.....

Milton Keynes, home of the deisel covered roundabouts and deisel soaked petrol station forecourts :Furious:

I am glad the Monster has a low seat height, the amount of times my foot has slipped when pulling up to a petrol pump round here.

The roundabouts are appalling, if they arent covered in deisel theyre covered in holes or gravel <rolls eyes>

Glad your both OK.

The worst thing is Thump that that's the SECOND engine he's blown in that bike :look:  :look:

Still he's cut his losses now and buying an SV thou - couldn't convince him to go italian, even with there huge reliability in comparison to his jap......Oh yeah and we're tattooing 'CHECK OIL' on his forehead too!

should help!. Anyway for those that've met Damian and Jody - they say hey (think it might have just been you Hayles......) but they'll be back roadside soon and a newly soon to be destroyed bike!

Oh yeah if anyone needs any SV parts, I know where one might be striped to parts to be sold very soon........

Oi - it's happened just the once, and it was only to amuse you lot!!!!!!!

Aye i'm going to write it on his dash - CHECK OIL......and as for the Ducati, he actually won a 999 at the beginning of last year in a competition, lucky git...apparently the chain needed replacing because it was rusty????????? ahhhhh he's a nightmare, credit due though he rides everyday he can (see when bikes are not broken) and does ride hard.....just crap at looking after them!

...and how long ago was it you were standing in front of "The Beak" saying that "if you lost your licence, hundreds of employees would be made redundant, you were going to buy a reliant robin, turn to Jesus, give up anything with sugar in it, etc etc," :p

Good job that they cleaned your licence after the ban, or you could be approaching the "points danger-zone"!
