Starting this as a new thread, so all those that have shown an interest will get a pm regarding this aswell, if you are interested then just add your name to the list.

The dates for the weekend away are the 18th and 19th August 2007 with the option of the Friday evening on the 17th.

The meeting venue is Kielder Water and Forest Park and ride area is the Northumberland/North West England.

It's a meet up, have a ride, eat and sleep event so sorry I ain't planning party games, Take That Tribute bands, Best/Worst Bike awards or any off venue events (except evening scoff ) so if you wanna do something else then look at the Water Park site where there are a few things you may wish to do.

The site has been booked on an assumption of 15+ bikes and their riders, I spoke about our tiny tents, they will be delighted to see us on site (The lady in charge stated that her hubby will be chuffed as he used to privately race his own Ducati's).

I have posted a link on the Ducati Up North site and we have folk showing interest there

Please keep this post live by adding your names if you are interested and if you are organising your own B&B please let me know.

These links may help you with your plans.

Also please note I have not done one of these events like this before - not that I plan on doing that much this time, but either way if you see something important missing then let me know.

Still not sure about this - how unorganized can ones life be!
Will try to let you know Monday, if I can't make the camp I,ll at least try to make it for the Ride out. Don,t worry about tent space as I only have a very small one-oooh sailor!

im going to have my stitches removed this wednessday, il see if i will be allowed to operate a clutch on a car, if so i mgiht just come allong

uh STIVH keep a bit of faith, id bet on double the 'expected numbers' turn up , people in general find it more difficult to commit these days i recon as theirs so much choice on 'organised events'

Dont worry Dave I am not loosing faith I'll be going what ever the numbers. It's just that as this is a sort of short notice northern meet I am just just trying to keep this thread alive as it soon gets left behind in the events section with all of the other threads.

I will be posting the two routes for the rides early next week and as you know the terrain so to speak let me know if I have got em' right.

...............oh and good luck with those stitches.

Thank you to those that have emailed me and posted on the various threads that I've started.

As this event is now a total no brainer I shall be just doing doing a ride out on the Saturday very early doors and taking the one route as shown in Scotty's map starting at Melmerby riding in an anti clock wise direction I shall be starting obviously from Manchester going via the the M62 so if anyone wants to meet up please pm me and we can exchange mobile numbers and sort out meet up venues/times etc.

Thanks again folks I'll save this for another weekend and will also try those other routes first so that I can fine detail things.
