I have a 900ie monster and am having a nightmare with my electrics.

tests with multimeter are reading a current drain. Has anybody got some suggestions as to where to start or do I have to go through and check the entire loom?

Thanks
Dawn

Unless anyone knows any obvious or common faults like this I guess being systematic and checking the lot out is probably a good idea.
It'll be a pain but you'll end up with all the connectors cleaned and sealed which will be a bonus.
Probably be a help for those that know if you can put in a few more details of what's tested out as good so far, any additions or changes to the loom that you know about, how big a drain that kind of thing.

Again how big the drain is would help, you can start by pulling fudes out in turn to narrow it down to a perticular circuit(its not the alram is it if fitted)?

No alarm is fitted and the leakage reads .7milliamps. Am I worrying about nothing ?

What sort of probs are you experiencing?? might help to diagnose the prob.

.7 mA is a bit minimal to worry massively about. It isn't going to flatten a 10-12AH battery in a hurry for sure!

Thanks for that chaps. Gonna take it for a spin tomorrow - if the sun shines that is.

Well I'd look and the regulator and rectifier to see if the diodes are draining.

I'd also make sure that the earth under the battery is in a good condition.

 fixed at last !
Ended up taking it to somone who knows alittle bit more about italian machines than me - I'd recommend Black Dragon Motorcycles in West Coker, Somerset if you are ever stuck !

It was a relay in the end.
