Hokey dokey, it's that time of the month again.

I thought we might mix it up a bit this month, and have the meet in Sussex for a change.

So, meet at Whiteways carpark, Bury Hill at 11.00 onwards for a cuppa and natter, leaving sometime after 12 for a ride to a nice pub.

I won't be planning to meet anyone on the way, as I'm only 3 minutes from there (hooray, I get a lie-in!).

Anyone up for it?

If anyone doesn't know where Bury Hill is (where have you been?), just head south on the A29 towards Bognor, go through Pulborough, continue for 5 miles and Whiteways carpark is on top of the downs at the junction with the A284 and B2139. If it's sunny, you can't miss it as it will be full of bikes!

Don't worry Rob, we won't go without you!

Haven't decided on pub yet, but I'm planning on going over Goodwood way for the ride, so may end up at the Cricketers in Dunction. I'll confirm tomorrow.

Right, I've made a decision.

We'll have lunch at The Cricketers in Duncton. They're open all afternoon, and serve food until 6, so we'll be in no hurry to get there. And if the weather's decent, they've got a very nice garden.

For anyone who wants to meet us there, we'll probably get there by 2.

Here's a couple of maps - you can't miss the pub - as you come through Duncton, it's on your left if you're going south.

Ignore the circle - look for the PH sign.

I also asked them if they're doing the BBQ like the previous owners, and they said they will be in the summer.

Hurrah!

Sorry I won't be joining you but the firend I was hoping to come with is tooooo nervous on her new purchase (one of those three wheeled scooter type jjobbies!!!) to go more than a few miles not having ridden for ten years or so - so we will be heading to a big car park near her!!!

Have an enormous lunch for me

Rachel, if you & your friend want to go to to the brunch, I can come out with you to hold the rear. That way, you'd be leading the way, your friend in the middle and me in the back making sure no car can get close enough to harass her. Let me know.

Is there a prize for the greatest distance travelled? if so, I reckon the couple on the Multistrada are going to win it...

Just a reminder for anyone meeting us for lunch - it's not the Cricketers that we normally go to!

See the directions earlier in the thread. It's on the A285 between Petworth and Chichester.

S4Mad, Sazza G et al

Hoping to be there today but it all depends how I feel when I wake up. S4Mad, If I'm not at the small car park by 10am put me down as a no.

If I don't make it down I hope you all have a good ride out. Is going to be a glorious day for it! Just wish I could say I could 100% make it. Damn you alcohol and your ability to make me feel like death warmed up.

Well the singing of the birds woke me up, so it must be a sign.

S4mad, Adds666 - hope to see you at the small car park in an hour or so. Better have a quick shower.
