Bike runs great but plugs last about 200 miles! Thinking about getting iridium ones. Will this help, or do I have a deeper seated problem?

Cheers

They should last a bit longer than that for sure

What state/colour are they when you take them out??? It could be the bikes running too rich or too lean and shagging them before time??

Oh and welcome to the club :flag:

Cheers,

Shandy

My old 600 only had the plugs changed at its service.
200 miles is not right.
But I'm sorry I have no idea what your problem is, other members
far brighter than me, will help I'm sure.

what make of plugs are you using?

For what it's worth, Ive used both Champion and NGK in the past and the Champion ones were sh*te, lasted about 500 miles before breaking down. NGK are good as gold, and have lasted about 4000 miles with me touching them at all.

But, if there's an underlying problem with fueling, you should get it sorted first.

I've used NGK and Denzo, iridium and normal and I have had nothing but trouble with my 600 - NB's checking the mixture on it next as it is running again :D Don't think that helps you though!

Thanks Guys

Plugs loot a little bit sooty. I'll pop it into Italsport and get them to fix it.
