Just figured out how to post pics on the perfect garage thread - go and take a look at my old banger in that thread. Any how, here are a couple or three of my S4.

Each time I fill up I loose a little of that nice Mr. Fogarty's signature as petrol gets on it. And so far experiments with laquer reveal that the ink will bleed into the laquer and make a right mess. Ah well, nice to have untill it finally washes off.

Looks very tidy, and the pics have helped me make a descision on the Samco hoses.
Is that a dent in your tank or just a trick of the light on the middle pic

you need a photobucket (or similar account) first to upload pictures on to, then you copy the link into the thread by hitting the insert picture icon.

Use this instead of picture bucket. I think they are sister sites anyway. But you need no account. Just go to the address I am giving you and upload your picture. You then copy the vb code and paste it onto your post and your picture appears.
http://www.tinypic.com/
There will be several codes to choose from, but if you hover your cursor over them they tell you what they are used for. I think the second one down works on this site. Dead simple, just copy and paste.

Now, you might find that the picture is too big/takes ages to up load or takes up too much room on your post.
Down load this programe to re size pictures. Install it, it works a bit like windows explorer. Double click on the picture you want to use. When it come on full screen, go to where it says image in the tool bar at the top. Click image and in the drop down box click resize. I did my pic 600 x 380. It is a good size for general use. Save the resized picture and then use that one to upload to tiny pic. It really is easy when you get the hang of it.

:dunce: Do you know gremlin, I never even thought to click the insert image icon! Doh! And I thought I had been dead clever working out how to post pictures. I was realy pleased with myself. I didn't see the wood for the trees, as thay say.

Does that not just post a link to the picture though rather than showing within the thread

gremlin
12-05-2007, 10:06 PM
not if you paste into the pop up box when you press the insert picture button

Re: Mirrors, they were on it when I got it. Just thought they were standard. I wasn't too keen on them; but in fact they are really good. In fact the best mirrors I have ever had on a bike. Really good view. I spent a while trying to adjust them on the way home from the shop. They seemed really stiff. Then I found out that you just move the lense inside the case...and not tug and pull at the whole thing like I had been doing at every set of lights. Will post a close up of them in a bit for you.
....Back now to edit the pics in...hope this works.

They have the Ducati logo on the bottom, so I guess they are standard?

gjfevans: The way I do it, I just past the vb code I mentioned straight onto the post and the picture appears. So to get the picture below to appear I just cut and past the following text from the tiny pic link I sent you. It over rides the standard way the forum works. I have put in a space before http and after jpg so you can see the code. I will now past it again with out the spaces and you won't see that text, you just see the picture.

Nice shot of the bike. Top colour scheme!
Still, some people will insist on painting theirs red for some reason.

Nose cone 'n' all goes really well with the bike. Looks like it should be that way in the first place. Good call. Some of the V.max lads/gals did horrendous things to their bikes and made them look like tarts hand bags. I kept to stock looks but went for power (180bhp). It is good to see a bike that has had its owners touch and still looks the bees knees.
Would be tempted to ask you where you got the nose cone and other bits from, but that would be copying.

Oooh noo, not going to dig a hole for myself. It looks very tidy. I think I recall being told there is a Max owner on the site when I first joined. Some are relly good, but some, well, just don't look right. That one will lookk very nice I am sure, when it is finished. Low battery on my computer so that is my get out of jail free card. Nice to see loads of pics poping up.Byeee. Of for some :booze:
