Ooh, I know, I know! More on that story here (http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/showthread.php?t=42388).

It was all that sand that they'd put in as ballast to keep it to below the 40mph limit on Jersey that caused the imbalance. A bit of front brake and the rest is history.

Brand new demo bike (i wont say what as i want you to guess), being taken out on a test ride by the sales guy from the shop. He is going around a ring road in the right direction, introduce a woman driver coming the other way....the wrong way, mix it up and cook until it ends up like this

Can you guess what it is yet? (http://www.cicarscene.com/forum/download.php?id=4237)

Now, dont look on the site for the answer, but can you tell me what bike it was?

Being a member of another forum on here, the brakes and black(ish) forks point me towards a GSXR1000 K7 ;)

Is it the max speed limit of 40MPH, or the fact we have more twat car drivers than in the UK. I have had the pleasure of being wiped out by one of the afore mentioned twats. Headlight the size of a dustbin lid, reflective jacket on and a clear road that i am traveling down. It was the usual excuse 'Oh i didnt see you' whilst i am in agony with busted ribs and the like

Ar$ehole!

Now I know that some Italin bikes are thought of as a bit agricultural, ehm, Moto Guzzi; But trying to uproot a tree!
Not read the full thread yet. So hope the rider was OK in the end. Going back to read it all now.

It was quite easy (as the story goes) the two of them on seperate bikes were giving it the big one when they saw a fluorescent jacket at the end of the straight thinking it was a copper they tried to scrubb off speed resulting in the above accident, they also tried too blame it on the bike saying it locked up on them:dizzy: . The only trouble being the rider that had signed for the test ride was not on the bike at the time of the accident seems they had swapped half way round :cens:

Yeah that pretty much is the story. He thought he saw a dayglo flap jacket (later turned out it wasnt), he slammed the anchors on (if he was doing 40 he wouldnt have needed to) and the front locked up and slipped, he put his foot down to stop from dropping the bike, foot peg smacks his leg from behind, snapping the bone in 2 to 3 places, he then winces with pain and inadvertantly opens the throttle, which then projects the bike into a tree. Damage done.....well the bike hit the tree tank first, snapped the frame, and split the crank case to expose the guts, and just to top it off, it get char grilled too.

Wanna know the worst thing....the bike had been sold to a customer of the dealership who couldnt wait until april to get one. Me thinks it shouldnt have been out on a test ride to begin with
