Up to about 1600 miles on my 695 now so using the power more. Went for a ride over the moors on Sunday. After a good ole blast at decent speed for a few miles with power most of the way found the gearbox was reluctant to go down a cog. Felt as though the clutch wasn't letting go. Anyone else get this? Once I'd changed down once or twice it was fine.

Thanks Chris&Nean, is yours an 8oo or 1K S2R?
Presumably you're still running in/on relatively low mileage if you have a 695.
So expect everything to get easier with time.

Never had that on my 695 (6,000 miles). The only clutch related prob I've had is that sometimes it can't find neutral.

How your ribs Paivi ?
One's broken, so am taking it easy (read: sleeping) for a few days, as it hurts to breathe, let alone do anything else. Am on a serious dose of Diclofenac & Co-dydramol, so am too high to worry about the pain and any threat of a punctured lung! :p
