Phew, it's all go in Sussex at the moment!

The plan for Sunday is to head over to Brands Hatch to watch the Desmodue racing, plus any other racing that's on, then head to a country pub somewhere nice.

Meet at P&H in Crawley for a 9.15 departure, taking the scenic route to Brands (ie. not the motorway!).

The forecast is scorchio at the moment, so it should be a good day.

Hope to see a few peeps out.

Right daft question time, as MSV site isn't showing a timetable for the weekend @ Brands. Are the DD boys & girls racing on both Saturday and Sunday, as I'll be 'hopefully' there on Saturday. Sunday maybe motocross day..... :D

The DD qualifier is on Sunday morning, and both races are in the afternoon. Some of the DD'ers may choose to enter other races on the Saturday but they are not official DD races.

What's the restrictions (if any) on access to the paddock for a natter with the UKMOC'ers running teams? Will I have to dress as brolly dolly to sneak in to the pits and annoy CK?

I'm a laydee you know :chuckle:

Reckon I could lend you a frock GT - I'll see you in the morning - my alarm is set and I haven't drunk anywhere near enough to prevent an early morning awakening!!!!

When we went last year it was open access to the paddock, and the pit garages too...

Gotta get something for your £12 eh? (other than close racing of course x)

Great day a Brands today. Pity about the £2.00 extra parking charge for bikes - guess the £12 admission just wasn't enough eh?

Met up with loads of fellow UKMOC and DSC types, and saw some great racing too. Top marks for effort to Knight Racing team and our hero Zimbo for finishing 2nd in race two of the 583cc class  Honourable mention to Gilps for "most artistic use of silver gaffa tape" after his off in practice :chuckle:

I wanna go to watch DD a Castle Combe next... anyone else up for it?

Phew, what a scorcher!

Great to see so many peeps out today. Loved the racing! Gotta go and see some more this year.

And yes, I know I told everyone to bring sunscreen, and I forgot mine. I don't think I'm as pink as Manda though!

Congrats to Zimbo from me as well - top riding fella!

See you all again soon

What a great days racing and my god was it hot !!:flamed:

Good to see our members doing well plus a friend of ours (Darren Curzon #98) was racing in Class A, he did really well :) We'll definitely be going to watch some more.

Benson sorry we didnt get to meet up with you and everyone else, the heat was a killer and after planting ourselves at the top of the grandstand (what is it they say about mad dogs and english men) we stayed there and slowly cooked only managing to crawl over to the kentagon at lunchtime for some shade and an ice cold drink !

Next time I promise we will meet up !

Does anyone know what happened to the faller in race 2 (#19) he looked in a lot of pain from where we were sitting, hope it was nothing serious and its a quick recovery for him and bike?

I was really good to see so many MOC'ers there today. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello. i hope to see more of you at future rounds.
A massive well done to Zimbo for his 2nd place, very well deserved.
An update on #19 who fell quite badly. Jon Williams has broken his right tib in 3 places just above the ankle and fractured his right fib just below his knee. He should be out in a few days.

Thanks for all your support today folks, especially to Slob for all his help with repairing crash damage (Gilps kept him fairly busy . . . ) and new brolly dollies benson and Scrumpster!
A fantastic day for me, was amazed to find I'd qualified in second place this morning with a personal best time for Brands of 59.55 seconds, got swamped in the first corner of race 1 and was very quickly pushed back to 10th and then fought my way back up to 8th again for the finish, best lap 58.96 against a new 583cc lap record of 58.76, learned from my mistakes on race 2 and took a much more defensive line which enabled me to maintain 3rd into paddock hill and then pass the two in front to take the lead for 5 laps, sadly Griff managed to slip past on the brakes into Graham Hill and I chased him to the end for my second, still a fantastic result for me and my first ever trophy!

blimey girl let me finish checking them before you post they should all come through now

Look for Nikon Canon and Olympus and don't settle for anything less than a SLR you will wish for more otherwise.
